Dowsing is back in style

Apparently water dowsing is gaining popularity in drought-stricken areas of California according to this NY Times article. The dowsing people overall seem to be simply deluded people who do this stuff on their own time and don't charge for it, but in my opinion water dowsing has to be right up there with homeopathy in terms of pure stupidity.
