JREF and Phil Plait

I just got an email from the NYC Skeptics that included a press release from the JREF indicating that Phil Plait is the new President of the JREF. The JREF doesn't have anything on their front page or first few pages about it. If true, isn't that interesting? Everything I've heard of Phil Plait is good. He's made the Bad Astronomy site successful, so I assume he's got decent business sense. He isn't a magician, so it will be interesting to see which direction he takes the JREF after Randi steps back (of his own volition, which I doubt will happen, or otherwise, which is inevitable). Anyhow, anyone have any thoughts?
